When a shop announces its closing date, I do what any responsible, fully grown silicone goblin does. I panic, open my wallet, and scoop up a small herd of toys before anyone can stop me. ChonkyDinoToys has always been one of those studios I admired from afar, so grabbing their Knot felt less like a panic buy and more like a personal obligation. It’s their most reviewed model on Etsy, sitting at a perfect five stars, even if every review basically amounts to “yep, it exists and I liked it.”
So in the absence of proper review and the shop’s closure looming, I took it upon myself to investigate the legend. giving it the detailed hands-on evaluation it deserves.

a little about the company
ChonkyDinoToys is a small German silicone studio known for blending creativity, fantasy, and high-quality craftsmanship. Founded on Etsy in 2023, the brand quickly gained recognition for its playful designs and dedication to making imaginative toys that put customer satisfaction first.
Every model begins as a bold idea, then moves through careful prototyping and real-world tester feedback to ensure the final version meets their standards. Their commitment to quality shows in every detail, from the use of platinum-cure silicone to the durability and safety of their finished pieces.
With a philosophy centered on creating for pleasure and doing it with pride, ChonkyDinoToys has earned a place in the indie toy community as a studio that cares deeply about both its craft and the people who use it.
Delivery
Chonky Dino shipped everything in a plain brown box to keep things discreet. Inside, all four toys were individually vacuum-sealed and wrapped in packing paper. First out of the box is Knot. He is beautiful, large, and absolutely in charge. He is also very soft and feels like he is cast in 00 20 silicone. I love this design so much that I may need to grab his smaller counterpart just to complete the set.
Second out of the box is Final Boss. Bold, beautiful, and equipped with a spiked ring at the base. This one gives me heavy Bowzar energy and feels to be cast in 00 30 silicone. Next, we have Verde. Thin tip, thick body. This bad boy knows how to make an entrance. Also cast in what feels like 00 30 silicone. Lastly, we have Dino, four rows of dotted spines running down its length with a thin pointed tip. This one feels firmer than the other three, making those textures stand out in a very intentional way.
Editor’s Note: No matter where you’re shopping from, always give your toy a proper clean before putting it to use. You never know what release agents or manufacturing residue might be lingering, and a quick wash means peace of mind and safer play. Stay naughty, but stay safe!

Measurements
ChonkyDinoToys offers The Knot in two sizes: small and regular. For this review, I
went with the regular, because if you are finally testing their most well-known
model, you may as well meet it in its intended form.
The regular sits at about eight inches in total length with roughly six and a half
inches insertable. It starts with a pointed tip and a head that measures around a
four-inch circumference. From there, it swells to a solid six and a quarter
inches at the midpoint, narrows back to about five and a half inches
just above the knot, and then finishes with a full seven and a half inch
circumference at the knot itself.
The shaft has a gentle upward curve with subtle vein detailing along
the top and sides. It stays visually interesting without looking busy.
The sides feature two thicker veins and the underside has two textured ridges running the length of the cavernous tissue. The base is flat and stable, measuring roughly four inches long by three inches wide, shaped like a pair of testicles that complete the overall design.

Materials And Maintenance

ChonkyDino uses platinum-cured silicone across their whole lineup, including Knot, so you’re getting the real deal from the jump.
Since this toy is solid silicone, it is fully waterproof and happy to follow you from the bedroom to the bath without complaining. Platinum silicone also shrugs at temperature swings. You can chill it, warm it, or put it in he dishwasher. You can also boil it when it is time for a deep clean, as long as you remember to keep him off the bottom... of the pot, not you.
In terms of durability, platinum silicone really is the dependable workhorse. ChonkyDino toys will not get tacky over time, they will not degrade, and they definitely will not wilt into sad little jelly blobs if you forget about them in a drawer. If you collect toys the way some people collect enamel pins, you can store them long-term without them turning into a science experiment.
Cleaning is straightforward. Warm water and antibacterial soap are plenty for day-to-day care. If you want a full disinfecting session, a two to three-minute boil does the trick. Just make sure it is fully dry afterward, and stick with water-based lubricants. Silicone on silicone is still the fastest way to ruin a good toy.
ChonkyDinoToys offers The Knot in two firmness levels: 00-30 as their standard and 00-20 as the extra soft option. My Knot arrived wonderfully squishy, and after a very scientific poke test compared to the rest of the collection that arrived, I can safely say it is poured in 00-20. That is the firmness I will be focusing on for this review.
The silicone is smooth, plush, and delightfully floppy in all the ways a soft knot should be. It bends in half with barely any effort and pops right back into shape without hesitation. The shaft is soft enough that you can literally fold it into itself or even ball it up. It has just enough body to glide into tighter spots without feeling stiff, but still keeps that gentle, cushiony give that lets it settle comfortably against the body.

color options

ChonkyDino has a surprisingly generous palette to play with, offering twenty-seven standard colors that cover just about every mood you could possibly want. They have everything from simple solids to bold neons, plus metallics and glow in the dark options for anyone who enjoys a little extra drama in their toy drawer. It is the kind of lineup where you can go subtle, chaotic, radioactive, or “I want my dildo to double as a nightlight,” depending on the day.
Knot itself can be customized with up to three colors, which gives you plenty of room to get creative. You can go full creature-core with earthy tones, lean into something bright and venomous, or mash together shades until you end up with your own personal chotic monstrosity. My Knot came from the premade section, so I did not get to build a custom palette, but the pour I received is stunning and similar to my tastes anyway.
Testing and Performance
product design 4.5/5
The ChonkyDinoToys Knot has a soft, plush finish that feels almost playful in the hands. It is thick, no point pretending otherwise, but the ultra-soft silicone takes a lot of the edge off. The body has subtle sculpted details like veins and spined ridges, though in this firmness, most of that texture turns into gentle impressions rather than anything pronounced. The thick veins and the knot itself are what actually carry the experience.
The tip is slim enough for a fantasy model of this size, but the jump in girth comes fast. It practically doubles in thickness only a few inches in, and the curve works surprisingly well with the body. The base has that classic testicular shape and is wide enough for secure external positioning. It is technically harness compatible, though you will need a larger ring or a shibari setup to make that happen. Personally, pushing the knot through the ring rather than coming up from the bottom easiest way to attach it.
Overall, it is a straightforward design with a very clear focus. Plush, thick, and built for a specific kind of stretch lover.
easy to use 3/5
On its own, the regular Knot in 00-20 is as floppy as you would expect. Entry absolutely requires guidance during anal use. Without prior stretching, the combination of a thick head and soft silicone works against you. It slips, slides, bends, and retreats at the worst moment, almost like it is trying to escape responsibility. Once the body is warmed up and stretched a bit, the head behaves and slides in without any resistance.
The shaft follows much more easily once the tip is in, but the knot itself still requires a firm hand. The softness that makes the toy so forgiving also makes it stubborn when it comes to pushing past that final ring of resistance. It prefers to fold away rather than commit, so you need to hold steady and guide it through.
It is absolutely usable, but it does not pretend to be a hands-free experience.
sensory quality 4/5
The softness of the silicone makes the initial entry surprisingly comfortable, though that comfort disappears fast as the girth ramps up. The mid shaft is thick enough to cause leg shaking without even involving the knot, creating a deep fullness that builds tension beautifully. Most of the subtle textures fade into the background, softened by the plushness and overshadowed by the stretch itself.
Then there is the knot. The stretch leading up to it is intense and the final pop is fast, sudden, and absolutely feral. The soft silicone gives the knot a faint bounce once it settles, adding a fluttery internal jolt that caught me completely off guard. I made a noise I did not know I could make. It was intense, overwhelming, and very much a ride worth bracing for.
This is not a gentle experience. It is a full-body reaction waiting to happen.
easy to clean 5/5
Cleaning The Knot is refreshingly simple thanks to the pure platinum silicone and the lack of deep texture. Warm water and mild soap take care of everything. The soft silicone does not trap anything, and the details that do exist are shallow enough that nothing builds up.
A quick wash, a pat dry, and the toy is ready for storage or a revisit if you have the stamina for round two.

Final Thoughts

The Knot ended up being exactly the kind of toy that reminds me why soft silicone is a whole personality trait in my collection. It looks intimidating on paper, but in practice, the plushness gives it this deceptively sweet approachability right up until it decides to show its true colors. The build is simple, the aesthetic is clean, and the overall design makes its priorities very obvious. It was made to stretch, to pop, and to make someone somewhere question their life choices (not me, obviously, I live for this).
The 00-20 firmness absolutely shapes the entire experience. It smooths out the textures, turns the shaft into a soft wall of pressure, and turns the knot into a moment that hits like a plot twist. The downside is that the same softness that makes it so comfortable also makes it a bit of a brat during insertion. If you do not guide it, it will wiggle, bend, and wander like it is late to a meeting it does not want to attend.
Once everything is in place, though, the Knot delivers. The stretch is intense, the pop is sharp enough to steal your breath, and the aftershocks are the kind that make you lie very still and question whether you can feel your knees. It is a toy with a clear purpose, and it fulfills that purpose with a surprisingly playful charm.
It is not perfect. It is floppy, it is needy, and it demands patience. But for anyone who enjoys plush silicone, big stretch, and that unmistakable knot sensation, this is a model that knows exactly what it is doing and does not apologize for any of it.
That all being said, the Chonkydinotoys Knot scored 16.5/20, giving it a rating of 8/10. And I highly recommend it for my experienced readers.

I am often asked what lube I use for my testing. Honestly, with the amount of monsters, beasts, and fantasy anatomy I put through their paces, I need something that can keep up with me, and Swisok Cum Lubricant has become one of my go-to essentials. It’s thick, creamy, and gives that realistic feel that just makes everything slide into place the way it should.
It’s water-based, body safe, and the pump applicator makes using it stupidly easy, even when you’re already in the middle of wrangling something big. The texture is slick without turning watery and creamy without getting gummy, which is exactly what I need when I’m pushing my limits or breaking in a Lovecraftian horror.
It also comes in two color options. Tied energy is clear blue, cute and fun. My favorite is the realistic cum version, a thick white that adds a visual kick to playtime and just looks right with fantasy toys.
