Knotted Starfish Dildo Review

By: The Knotty List  October 8, 2025

Today’s review is all about the Wildolo Knotted Starfish Dildo, a bright, cheeky little twist on the classic knot design. Wildolo’s been known for blending fantasy flair with functional fun, and this one definitely caught my eye. It’s bold, it’s colourful, and it’s got that “what in the aquatic hell is this thing?” kind of charm that immediately made me want to put it to the test.

A Little About The Company

Wildolo emerged in 2021 from the innovative minds behind Hismith Technology Co., Ltd., renowned for revolutionizing the erotic industry with high-end sex machines. Based in Shenzhen, China, Wildolo is a brand crafted to explore the untamed corners of adult pleasure. Taking customer feedback to heart, they transformed user requests for more unique, imaginative toys into a line of fantasy-inspired, app-controlled vibrators and dildos. These aren’t your standard designs; Wildolo toys are meticulously crafted to cater to every mood and desire, whether that’s something refined, monstrous, or downright otherworldly.

Wildolo's app, available for both iOS and Android, elevates their collection further by allowing users to personalize every experience. From setting vibration patterns to sharing toy control with a partner, the app invites users into an interactive world where pleasure is fully customizable.

Delivery

The Wildolo Starfish arrived in the usual Amazon brown box of secrecy; nothing flashy, nothing suspicious, just good old-fashioned “no one needs to know what’s inside” energy. Gotta give Amazon that: they’re excellent at helping you hide your kinks from nosy neighbors.

Inside, things got a bit fancier. The product box was sleek and black with the Wildolo logo and their tagline, “Encounter Wildolo, Arouse WILD Love”, printed on the sides. A subtle purple wallpaper-style pattern added a touch of class that honestly made me do a little “huh, okay, fancy fishy” moment. It was sealed up tight with a Wildolo-branded sticker, which gave it that nice, professional feel before I even got to the fun part.

Cracking it open, I found everything tucked away neatly: a slim user manual on top, a Wildolo-branded storage bag underneath, and the Starfish itself wrapped safely in clear plastic. Simple, clean, and organized, no chaos, just a well-presented unboxing that set the tone for what was to come.

Whats In The Box?

Measurements

The Wildolo Starfish is a beast of a toy, measuring nine and a half inches in total length, with about eight inches of usable space to work with. The tip starts modestly at around three inches in circumference before things quickly ramp up. There’s a ribbed bulge hitting seven inches, tapering back down to six, then flaring out again to a hefty eight and a half inches around the final knot. It’s a wild ride from start to finish.

The base keeps true to the theme, shaped like a

starfish with five little textured bumps along each leg.

On the underside of the base is a three-inch suction

cup. Along the top side of the shaft, a deep groove

                              runs from tip to midpoint.

Materials And Maintenance

According to Wildolo's website, the Knotted Starfish is made from “silky body-safe” silicone that’s non-toxic and flexible.

Since it’s silicone, it’s also completely waterproof. Whether you prefer keeping things in the bedroom or taking your fun into the shower or hot tub, it can handle it without a problem.

Cleaning is simple. Warm water, a bit of antibacterial soap, and a soft brush will do for everyday use. For a deeper clean, you can boil it for a few minutes, just make sure it’s not touching the bottom of the pot unless you’re into the smell of toasted silicone. After that, pat it dry, store it away, and stick with water-based lube to keep things safe and smooth.

The Amazon listing claims the Starfish is made with a Shore A 05 silicone, which roughly translates to a Shore 00-50 in toy terms. On paper, that sounds extra soft and flexible, but in practice, it’s a bit tricky to confirm. With this much silicone packed into one toy, the sheer volume adds a noticeable firmness that doesn’t quite match the numbers.

It’s definitely soft to the touch, and there’s a pleasant bit of give when you squeeze it, but the thickness of the design keeps it from feeling as floppy or plush as you might expect from that rating. It’s more of a dense, cushy softness than a melt-in-your-hands kind of feel.

Suction Cup

The Wildolo Starfish features a built-in suction cup base measuring about three inches across and half an inch deep. It’s clearly designed for hands-free fun, so naturally, I had to put it through one of my standard “can it survive my chaos?” tests.

I slapped it onto a ten-pound box using a Solo Saddle and gave it a few solid shakes, because if it can handle that, it can handle just about anything. The Starfish absolutely aced the lift test, hoisting ten pounds off the ground without even flinching. But the second I added any kind of momentum, that seal gave out faster than a startled goldfish.

For consistency’s sake (and because I’m stubborn), I ran the test several more times. Same setup, same shaking, same dramatic pop every round. So, while it doesn’t love motion-based force, its ability to hold solid vertical weight is impressive. Ten pounds is a lot to expect from a toy’s suction cup, and in realistic use, it’s more than enough to stay put when things get lively.

Glow in the dark

Wildolo added a fun little twist to the Starfish by making it glow in the dark. It’s a cute gimmick that gives the toy some extra personality when the lights go out.

The charge time depends on how much light it gets, but in my case, leaving it under two lamps for about twenty minutes gave it a gentle, eerie glow, enough to make it visible in the dark without lighting up the whole room like a rave.

Testing and Performance

product design 3/5

The Wildolo Starfish has a creative design, with three distinct bulbous sections and a ribbed shaft that screams “oceanic chaos.” The tip is nicely tapered, which does help a little with entry, but the Amazon claim that it’s “easy to insert and suitable for all experience levels” is pure fiction. While the silicone is soft and flexible to the touch, the sheer size of this thing makes it far from beginner-friendly. Once you’re past the head, that flexibility gives way to a very solid, unyielding presence.

In my opinion, any toy pushing beyond a six-inch circumference shouldn’t be marketed toward new users, and this one climbs well past that. I’d rate the skill level at Specialist (see skill level descriptions), depending on how brave (or stretchy) you are. It’s a gorgeous piece of design work, but it demands respect and lube. Lots of lube.

easy to use 3/5

Let’s be honest: the Starfish isn’t exactly a grab-and-go toy. It’s firm, thick, and absolutely requires a warm-up session unless you enjoy making questionable life choices. The tip slides in easily enough, but the size increase happens fast. The shaft doesn’t wiggle or squish around like softer silicone blends; it holds its ground and makes you do the adapting.

Once you’re past the first bulge, you get a brief reprieve before it ramps back up into full “oh wow, that’s a lot” territory. It’s not a toy you just pick up and use on a whim. It’s one you plan for. Stretching, patience, and a deep breath or two will make all the difference between a fun challenge and a regretful session.

sensory quality 4/5

Once everything’s warmed up and in motion, the Starfish shows its true personality. The ribbed texture is noticeable, but the sheer girth tends to dominate the sensation. It’s a deep, heavy stretch that can feel amazing if you’re prepared, or punishing if you’re not. The middle section offers a tiny break before the final knot pushes you right back to maximum tension.

Compared to similarly sized toys in softer silicone, the Starfish feels much more intense. Those softer blends tend to mold around you; this one… doesn’t. It asserts itself. It’s raw, demanding, and unapologetically firm. There’s a satisfying power in that, but it’s not for the faint of heart (or the unprepared backside).

easy to clean 4/5

Cleaning the Starfish is refreshingly straightforward thanks to its silicone build. Warm water and mild soap will handle the usual mess without issue, and it doesn’t cling to lube too badly. The only catch is the deep groove, which can trap residue if you’re not thorough. A soft-bristled toothbrush works wonders for those spots.

Once it’s rinsed, dried, and tucked away, it’s ready for next time, just maybe give yourself a recovery day first.

pros

  • Excellent stretch for experienced users

  • Easy to clean

cons

  • Way too big for beginners

  • Firmness limits flexibility during use

  • Marketing claims about accessibility are misleading

Final Thoughts

smug.png

The Wildolo Knotted Starfish is a toy that definitely leaves an impression, figuratively, and depending on how ambitious you’re feeling, quite literally. It’s a curious blend of bold design choices, solid craftsmanship, and a splash of playful weirdness that helps it stand out in a crowded lineup. Between its ribbed shaft, layered knots, and suction cup base, it’s clear Wildolo wanted to make something that feels unique and unapologetically itself. In that regard, they nailed it.

That said, the Starfish isn’t exactly a toy that eases you in. It’s big, demanding, and has zero interest in pretending otherwise. The firm silicone makes it much less forgiving than softer blends, so this one takes serious prep and patience to use comfortably. When you take the time to work up to it, though, it delivers an intense, heavy stretch that seasoned users will likely appreciate. It’s not gentle; it’s assertive.

The suction cup deserves some mixed feedback. It’s strong in static lifts and holds steady when mounted straight, but as soon as the angle shifts or the weight moves, the seal breaks. It’s a little frustrating, especially for those who like to get creative with positioning. On the bright side, it is strap-on compatible and the glow-in-the-dark feature gives it some quirky personality, making it look like a creature straight out of an eldritch tidepool, a fun touch that fits the Starfish’s chaotic charm.

If I could change one thing, it would be the lack of size and firmness options. Having a few variations could open this design to a wider audience since the current model really only caters to experienced users. At the end of the day, the Wildolo Knotted Starfish feels made for those who know exactly what they’re getting into: a firm, intense fantasy piece with a flair for the dramatic. It’s not beginner-friendly, and I do have to call out that misleading claim, but for the right user, it’s a wild, demanding, and thoroughly memorable experience, just maybe clear your schedule afterward.

That all being said, the Wildolo Knotted Starfish scored 14/20, giving it a rating of 7/10.
