Misson 2

touch-sense vibrator Review

By: Lechery Review      October 19, 2025

On September 18th, Lovense decided to stir up a little excitement with a giveaway over on X (you know, Twitter’s edgier alter ego), and wouldn’t you know it, luck smiled on our own Vixen, better known as RedAstralF0x. She’s not just one of our models; she’s one of my most trusted testers and, full disclosure, my partner in both life and lechery.

When it came time to pick her prize, she didn’t even have to think twice before snagging the Mission 2. Knowing I’d just won the Solace Pro the week before (review coming soon, promise), she figured it was only fair that we both get something shiny to play with, especially since we regularly spend over half the year apart. The Mission 2 and Solace combo had been taunting us from our Lovense wish list for months, and now that it finally made its way into our paws, it didn’t stay boxed up for long.

A Little About The Company

Lovense has been prowling the tech-meets-pleasure jungle since 2010, and in that time, they’ve clawed out a name as one of the biggest innovators in the industry. Their whole thing is merging intimacy with technology, creating toys that can connect across the room or across the planet. The idea is simple but powerful: distance doesn’t have to mean disconnected.

From their first app-connected toys to the sprawling lineup they have now, Lovense built its reputation on being the brand that makes “long-distance” feel a lot less long. Their catalog has exploded over the years, covering everything from plugs and strokers to toys that sync with music, games, and cam sites. At this point, if it buzzes, throbs, or reacts to a beat, chances are Lovense has figured out a way to make it happen.

The industry has noticed too. Lovense has walked away with some shiny hardware over the years, including being named International Pleasure Products Company of the Year at the 2022 XBIZ Awards. Their toys have snagged nods from AVN, AskMen, and more, with the Lush line in particular racking up recognition as one of the best app-controlled vibes around. Basically, they’ve got the trophies to back up their reputation as leaders in connected play.

So when you hear the name Lovense, think of a company that turned teledildonics from a niche experiment into a full-blown movement. They’ve kept their paws firmly on the pulse of both technology and pleasure, and their legacy so far shows no signs of slowing down.

Delivery

The Mission 2 showed up in the classic “nobody needs to know what’s in this box” brown packaging, just a plain cardboard shell with a shipping label slapped on top. Subtle. Discreet. The kind of box that could contain anything from socks to sin. Inside, the Mission 2’s retail box was packed so tightly it looked like the outer box had been built around it.

The actual product box has that clean Lovense look: mostly white with smooth blue-to-purple lines curling across the front and a shot of the Mission 2 dead center. The logo and name are placed nice and tidy, nothing flashy, just classy enough to look good on a shelf if you’re into keeping your boxes. The bottom edge is home to all the patent mumbo-jumbo, while the back runs through the Mission 2’s key features in six different languages, plus a scannable code that’ll zip you straight to the app.

Inside, everything’s packed with the kind of order you almost don’t want to disturb. The Mission 2 rests snug in its foam insert alongside the magnetic charging cable, detachable suction cup, and mount, all tucked in like they’re waiting for inspection. Beneath that, you’ll find the user manual; mostly picture-based, because let’s be honest, nobody reads unless they have to, and a warning sheet translated into twenty-six languages. It’s neat, it’s organized, and exactly what we have come to expect from a high-end brand like Lovense.

Editor's Note: No matter where you order your toys from, it's always a good idea to clean them before use. This ensures that any release agents or other potentially harmful materials are removed. Remember, a clean toy means healthy, safe fun!

Disclaimer: We didn’t realize until the Mission 2 was already in our paws that the user manual clearly states it’s intended for vaginal use only. Since we don’t currently have a vagina-wielder on staff, that left us in a bit of a pickle. But in true Lechery fashion, curiosity got the better of us. Goblins will be goblins, after all. So while we’re fully aware this isn’t how Lovense intended it to be used, we still gave it a fair and honest test from our own, ahem, angle; purely for the sake of science and thorough reviewing, of course.

Measurements

The main unit of the Lovense Mission 2 comes in at about eight inches long, with roughly six of those being usable. The head has a gentle flare, sitting at around four and three-quarter inches in circumference before narrowing slightly to four and a half just under the ridge. The shaft itself thickens up to about five inches at its widest point and carries a subtle upward curve that gives it a nice bit of personality. Along the top, there are five raised ribs that add texture without looking over the top.

At the base, you’ll find two control buttons. The top one switches between touch-sensitive and manual control modes, while the lower button handles vibration. On the opposite side of the buttons are two small neodymium magnets that snap neatly into place for charging; no fumbling or awkward cable wrestling required.

Once you attach the base, the Mission 2 gains an extra three inches of height, standing tall and proud. The base can also collapse down to around two and a quarter inches when fully tilted. The base connects to the main unit with a sturdy half-inch threaded connector that feels solid enough to hold up through some spirited testing.

Materials And Maintenance

waterproof.gif

The Lovense Mission 2 is wrapped head to toe in food-grade silicone, giving it that smooth, matte finish most of us have come to expect from a premium toy. It’s fully waterproof with an IPX7 rating, which means it can handle being dunked about a meter deep for up to half an hour without complaint. Bath, shower, hot tub, it’s not afraid of a little water.

Silicone also makes cleaning pretty straightforward. A quick wash with unscented dish soap and warm water does the trick. Just pat it dry afterward and stash it somewhere lint-free so it doesn’t turn into a fuzzy mess. And one golden rule if you want your plug to live a long, happy life: stick with water-based lube. Silicone on silicone is a one-way ticket to a ruined surface.

Vibration

The Lovense Mission 2 packs seven vibration modes and patterns to play with. Using the toy’s base button, you can cycle through the three basic intensity levels: low, medium, and high, plus the four classic Lovense patterns: Pulse, Wave, Fireworks, and Earthquake.

Each one’s got its own distinct personality, from the soft, teasing hum to the kind that makes your tail flick and your couch grumble. It’s straightforward, responsive, and easy to use without ever touching your phone, which is great when you’re mid-session and don’t want to fumble with screens.

If you’re the tinkering type, the fun really starts with customization. Through the Lovense app, you can load up to nine of your own patterns directly onto the device and even tweak how powerful the top setting gets. Once saved, those custom vibes live right in the toy, so you can leave your phone out of the equation entirely. According to Lovense, the Mission 2 can hit up to 6500 vibrations per minute, which checks out, given how fast this thing can rumble when it kicks into high gear. It also includes a touch-sensitive mode, but we will talk about that a little later.

For those who crave precision or just like to experiment, pairing it with the Lovense Remote app opens the whole playground. You can fine-tune intensity with a slider, draw your own patterns, sync it to your music, or let your mic control it so every sound becomes fuel for the experience.

The Lovense App

For the sake of simplicity and clarity, I’ve chosen to review the Lovense app separately from the products themselves. By doing this, I can ensure that the product reviews remain focused and concise, allowing readers to get straight to the information they need about the product's performance. This approach also makes it much easier to update and maintain the app review as new features, improvements, or changes are introduced, without needing to revise individual product reviews.

Charging

charging.gif

Tucked away on the side of the Mission’s base are two tiny neodimium magnets. Pop the USB magnetic charging cable in there, and you’re good to go. It’s discreet, it keeps things waterproof, and it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

The USB-compatible cord makes charging straightforward, whether you’re using a wall adapter, power bank, laptop, or any USB port. This versatility ensures you can recharge your Mission wherever you are, without fuss.

Powered by a built-in lithium polymer battery, a full charge takes about an hour and a half. That’ll net you around four hours of continuous use, or, if you’re more the “toy sits in a drawer until summoned” type, up to one hundred and twenty hours of standby. So yeah, whether it’s constant play or occasional mischief, it’s not going to flake on you mid-session.

Touch sensitive control

The Mission 2 comes with a neat trick up its sleeve: touch-sensitive control. This mode works completely on its own, without the app or presets, and adjusts the vibration intensity based on how deep the toy goes. In short, the deeper it gets, the stronger it rumbles. It’s a clever bit of tech that gives the toy an edge over the competition in the app-controlled toy world.

Outside of standard play, the touch-sensitive mode can be used in mini-games like Flippy Jumppy (yes, that’s really the name), the Lovense official in-app game, or to sync with partnered devices across the world. That means your long-distance partner could, in theory, feel your movements in real time through their own Lovense toy, a feature that’s equal parts fascinating and slightly dangerous if your partner has a mischievous streak and the Solace pro.

To activate the mode, with the device turned on hold the top button on the base for about three seconds until it kicks in. After that, pressing it again cycles through three intensity settings so you can decide how wild you want it to get.

From what we can tell, there are four capacitive touch sensors built into the shaft; the same kind of tech that makes your phone screen respond to your fingers. These sensors track depth and translate it into vibration feedback, turning motion into sensation in a surprisingly intuitive way.

Suction Cup

The Lovense Mission 2 comes with a detachable suction cup base that measures roughly three inches across and about half an inch deep. It can connect directly to the Mission 2 or to the included angle-adjustment arm, depending on how creative you’re feeling. It’s built for hands-free fun, which, of course, meant I immediately had to see how much abuse it could take before crying uncle.

For my very scientific testing method, I slapped the suction cup onto a ten-pound box using a Solo Saddle and gave it a few good shakes. If it can handle that, it can handle pretty much anything a normal play session throws its way.

To its credit, the Mission 2 didn’t flinch. It held the weight, took the shaking like a champ, and only finally gave out when I started flailing it sideways at nearly a ninety-degree angle. Ten pounds of downward force fighting gravity and stubbornness? That’s nothing to sneeze at.

For transparency, I only tested the suction cup attached directly to the Mission 2 itself and not with the adjustment arm, mostly because I didn’t feel like explaining to RedAstralF0x why their toy exploded in the name of science. But for consistency (and because I’m nothing if not persistent), I ran the test several more times. Each round had the same setup, the same shaking, and the same impressive result. The Mission 2’s suction cup’s grip is stupidly strong and doesn’t let go easily, which I appreciate in more ways than one. If you like your toys to stay put no matter how wild things get, this one’s got your back (and probably your wall too).

The detachable angle arm lets you tilt the Mission 2 up to a full 180 degrees forward and back, giving you plenty of flexibility to find your sweet spot. It’s built from three polycarbonate parts: a base, the arm itself, and a wingnut that locks everything in place.

On paper, that sounds simple enough, but in practice, the arm’s a bit stubborn; it takes some real coaxing to get it moving, even when the wingnut’s completely loose.

To adjust it, you’ll want to loosen the wingnut, give the arm a gentle shove in your desired direction, and then tighten it back down once it’s in position. I found it much easier to use the Mission 2 as leverage instead of wrestling with the arm directly. (Fair warning: it makes a loud click when it shifts. The first time it did that, I was ready to write its obituary, but no, turns out that’s just part of the process.)

Testing and Performance

Editor’s note: Reminder, the Mission 2 is intended for AFAB individuals and not recommended for anal use, as clearly stated in the user manual. We here at Lechery Review, however, are gremlins and have tested this product despite the warning. (mwaha ha ha ha) That being said, our results are from an anal-use perspective since we currently don’t have an AFAB tester on staff.

product design 4/5

The Mission 2 wasn’t designed for backdoor adventures, but that’s never stopped us before. It actually works fairly well as an anal toy, though not without a few quirks. The suction cup is an absolute must for safe use and helps a lot with control and stability. With six inches of usable length and a circumference of around four and three-quarters inches (maxing out at about five), it’s very approachable. As someone who grew up during the “hard plastic vibe” era, I can appreciate the rugged, old-school durability; it feels like something that could survive a drop, a flood, or an exorcism.

The body sports five horizontal ribs that run along the underside of its length, and they add a nice bit of texture without being too harsh. The soft compressible silicone tip helps balance out the firmness of further down, which is a mercy, because this toy does not have a lot of give. On the tech side, the depth-sensing touch control doesn’t really register well during anal use (turns out your phone and your butt don’t speak the same capacitive language). The “Flippy Jumppy” app game is basically a lost cause this way, but hey, I tried for science.

Performance-wise, the Mission 2 has some serious kick. Even at mid-level settings, the power is no joke. If you’re not careful to tighten the angle adjustment arm, it can loosen during play, leading to some... unplanned trajectory changes. The irony here is that the arm is stiff as hell when you want it to move, so pick your battles. The suction cup, though, deserves applause; it’s strong enough to hold through some wild movement without budging. Between the programmable “gear” settings, intuitive button layout, and waterproof build, it’s a surprisingly adaptable toy, even when used against advisement.

easy to use 4/5

The Mission 2’s controls are delightfully straightforward. You can calibrate the touch sensitivity in the app by inserting the toy and tapping a button under device settings; simple enough once you know where to look. The textured buttons make mid-session adjustments a lot easier; I could switch patterns or strength without fumbling or pausing. The soft tip helps with insertion, especially from an anal perspective, since it gives you that extra bit of comfort before the firmness hits.

Hands-free use is where this thing shines. The suction cup and angle plate make it easy to position however you need it, so you’re not stuck holding it in place. It’s the kind of setup that lets you relax, experiment, and still keep control. A small learning curve, sure, but once you’ve played with it a few times, it’s second nature.

sensory quality 4/5

That velvety silicone coating? Chef’s kiss. It’s smooth enough to glide comfortably, but grippy enough to stay where you want it. The soft tip makes initial entry a breeze, while the firm body delivers that deep, consistent pressure that makes this wolf pur, while the ribbing adds an extra layer of texture without overdoing it.

The vibration distribution is fantastic, the power is most concentrated near the tip and the ribbed sections, which gives a nice layered feel as it moves. The depth-sensitive vibration increase is a cool concept and, even if it doesn’t translate perfectly anally, it still adds some fun unpredictability. It’s one of those features that makes you go, “Huh, that’s actually kind of neat.”

easy to clean 5/5

Cleaning the Mission 2 is wonderfully simple. With an IPX7 waterproof rating, it’s happy to take a bath. Warm water, a bit of mild soap, and a rinse is all it takes to get it spotless. The silicone body doesn’t cling to residue or lube, and towel-drying is enough to get it ready for its next round of testing. No awkward crevices, the detachable parts are also made of silicone, steel, and polycarbonate, so just as easy to clean. No fuss, no special routine, just efficient, gremlin-proof cleaning.

noise level 4/5

Outside the body, the Mission 2 hits around 60dB on its highest setting, which is about the volume of a normal conversation in a quiet room. A foot or two away, it drops to roughly 45dB, putting it closer to a low hum or a computer fan. Once it’s in use, the sound is further muffled by, well, your body; so it’s not exactly stealth mode, but it’s not going to draw suspicion through the door either.

pros

  • Extremely strong vibrations

  • Surprisingly powerful suction cup

  • Depth-sensing adds novelty and fun

  • Very easy clean

cons

  • Not designed for anal use

  • The transition from air pocket to hard plastic is very noticeable.

  • Touch control and app game don’t translate well for anal play

Final Thoughts

The Lovense Mission 2 is one of those toys that made me pause mid-test and mutter, “Okay, that’s actually kind of cool.” It’s a strange beast in all the best ways; tech-heavy, strong as hell, and built with more features than I expected to find useful, yet somehow it pulls most of them off. Even when used outside its intended purpose (because let’s face it, curiosity and chaos are part of the Lechery Review DNA), it managed to surprise me with how adaptable it really is. Sure, it’s not the most forgiving for anal use, but with a little prep and a healthy respect for physics, it performed better than I had any right to expect.

What impressed me most wasn’t just the power or the clever depth-sensing feature, but how solid everything felt. The suction cup deserves its own medal for dedication; it clings like it’s afraid of abandonment. The vibrations are punchy and consistent, and the ability to angle it with precision made experimenting a lot easier (even if the adjustment arm is as stubborn as a mule). The whole thing feels engineered for endurance testing, both in build quality and battery life, which I can appreciate as someone who regularly puts toys through far more than the average session.

That said, the Mission 2 isn’t without its quirks. The transition from the soft tip to the firmer body can be jarring, especially when you’re using it in a way it wasn’t meant for. The touch sensors, while clever in theory, don’t quite know what to do in anal territory.

From a tester’s perspective, the Mission 2 lands somewhere between “science experiment gone right” and “cyberpunk curiosity.” It’s smart, bold, and unapologetically strong, but also a little clumsy in the finer details. It doesn’t quite nail everything, yet it’s impossible not to respect how far Lovense pushed the envelope here. For a toy that wasn’t even meant to go where we sent it, it held its own and then some.

Lovense clearly poured effort into every inch of this thing, and it shows, even when it’s being put through a gremlin-style trial by fire. I walked away impressed and already curious what kind of chaos their next toy will unleash.

With all that in mind, the Lovense Mission 2 scored 21/25, giving it a solid 8/10
