As a reviewer, surprises come with the territory. Usually, it’s a feature or an unexpected design choice. With this one, the surprise is an enigma cast in a firmness I didn’t see coming. I can only hope it lives up to the hype. So strap in, because we’re diving into the ChonkyDinoToys Dino Dildo.

Delivery
Chonky Dino shipped everything in a plain brown box to keep things discreet. Inside, all four toys were individually vacuum-sealed and wrapped in packing paper. First out of the box is Knot. He is beautiful, large, and absolutely in charge. He is also very soft and feels like he is cast in 00 20 silicone. I love this design so much that I may need to grab his smaller counterpart just to complete the set.
Second out of the box is Final Boss. Bold, beautiful, and equipped with a spiked ring at the base. This one gives me heavy Bowzar energy and feels to be cast in 00 30 silicone. Next, we have Verde. Thin tip, thick body. This bad boy knows how to make an entrance. Also cast in what feels like 00 30 silicone. Lastly, we have Dino, four rows of dotted spines running down its length with a thin pointed tip. This one feels firmer than the other three, making those textures stand out in a very intentional way.

Whats In The Box?

Measurements
ChonkyDinoToys offers The Dino in three sizes: small, medium, and big. For this
review, I went with the medium since it was premade and easy to grab. Everything
below applies to that size only.
The medium clocks in at about six and a half inches overall, with roughly five
inches of insertable length. It starts with a pointed tip that leads into a slightly
defined head measuring around four inches in circumference. From there, the shaft
steadily thickens until it hits about six inches in circumference near the base.
There is a gentle upward curve to the shaft, which seems to be a recurring design
choice from ChonkyDinoToys. Along the sides, top, and bottom of the shaft are
rounded, dimpled spines spaced evenly down the length. The shaft
ends up with a slightly rippled profile, with about four to five raised
bumps per side.
The base measures approximately four and a half inches long and three and three-quarter inches wide. It is sculpted in
a testicle shape and has the words “blow me” molded into the underside. The base also allows for harness
compatibility, though I'd recommend a large ring setup.
Materials And Maintenance
ChonkyDino uses platinum-cured silicone across their whole lineup, including DIno, so you’re getting the real deal from the jump.
Since this toy is solid silicone, it is fully waterproof and happy to follow you from the bedroom to the bath without complaining. Platinum silicone also shrugs at temperature swings. You can chill it, warm it, or put it in he dishwasher. You can also boil it when it is time for a deep clean, as long as you remember to keep him off the bottom... of the pot, not you.
In terms of durability, platinum silicone really is the dependable workhorse. ChonkyDino toys will not get tacky over time, they will not degrade, and they definitely will not wilt into sad little jelly blobs if you forget about them in a drawer. If you collect toys the way some people collect enamel pins, you can store them long-term without them turning into a science experiment.
Cleaning is straightforward. Warm water and antibacterial soap are plenty for day-to-day care. If you want a full disinfecting session, a two to three-minute boil does the trick. Just make sure it is fully dry afterward, and stick with water-based lubricants. Silicone on silicone is still the fastest way to ruin a good toy.
ChonkyDinoToys lists The Dino in two firmness options: 00-30 as their standard and 00-20 as the extra soft. The Dino I received did not include a firmness rating, and based on hands-on testing, it does not match either of those listed options. This one arrived noticeably firmer than expected.
The silicone is smooth and very dense, with minimal give. It will flex a bit if you really put some muscle into it, but overall, it holds its shape stubbornly well. I cannot say exactly what silicone blend was used here, but I can say it is firmer than my Thwak the Ridgeback, which is cast in DragonSkin A10, and is most likely the firmest toy in my collection.

ChonkyDino has a surprisingly generous palette to play with, offering twenty-seven standard colors that cover just about every mood you could possibly want. They have everything from simple solids to bold neons, plus metallics and glow in the dark options for anyone who enjoys a little extra drama in their toy drawer. It is the kind of lineup where you can go subtle, chaotic, radioactive, or “I want my dildo to double as a nightlight,” depending on the day.
Dino itself can be customized with up to three colors, which gives you plenty of room to get creative. You can go full creature-core with earthy tones, lean into something bright and venomous, or mash together shades until you end up with your own personal chotic monstrosity. My Dino came from the premade section, so I did not get to build a custom palette, but the pour I received is a stunning blue and purple swirl with a nice glittery effect.
Testing and Performance

The Chonkydinotoys Dino has a simple design, but it knows exactly what it is doing. The pointed tip takes the lead right away, making the initial entry feel controlled instead of clumsy. The gradual taper helps ease you into the thicker body without that sudden “oh wow” moment that can throw things off.
The rows of dotted spines are subtle on the surface but very present in use, mostly thanks to how firm the silicone is. Since the body does not compress much, those textures stay noticeable instead of disappearing once things get moving. The upward curve also helps keep everything lined up with the body instead of fighting against it.

Entry is smooth and predictable as long as you slow down and let the tip do its job. The taper stretches you open steadily, allowing depth to build without sharp resistance. The stretch happens fairly quickly, but it stays comfortable if you listen to your body.
The dense silicone does not bend or wobble, and the wide base keeps everything firmly anchored wherever you decide to mount it, even during more enthusiastic movement. It stays exactly where you put it, which I appreciated.

As stated above entry is smooth, the stretch is noticeable but manageable, and once fully inserted, every movement is clearly felt.
The dotted spines create a rolling texture during thrusting, especially on the way out. Because the silicone does not have much give, that sensation stays consistent instead of fading into the background.
The curve helps the toy move with the body instead of against it. The overall sensation stays controlled and consistent from start to finish.

Cleaning The Dino is refreshingly simple thanks to the pure platinum silicone and the lack of deep texture. Warm water and mild soap take care of everything. The smooth silicone does not trap anything.
A quick wash, a pat dry, and the toy is ready for storage or a revisit if you have the stamina for round two.

Final Thoughts
Dino surprised me, mostly because I expected one thing and got something very different once it was in use. The firmness is the real headline here, and the surprise, given the fact that Chonkydino doesn't list this option on their site. It gives the textures real presence, the curve works with the body instead of fighting it, and the overall experience stays consistent from start to finish.
This is one of those toys that earns its place through reliability rather than gimmicks. It feels intentional, well-made, and confident in what it is. Nothing here feels wasted or overdesigned, and nothing feels like it’s compensating for something else.
By the end of testing, the Dino felt less like a novelty piece and more like a dependable go-to when I wanted something textured, solid, and perfect for preparing for larger toys. It did its job, did it well, and didn’t overstay its welcome. That’s honestly all I need from a toy like this.
That all being said, the Chonkydinotoys Dino scored 17/20, giving it a rating of 8/10. And I highly recommend it.
